This iconic structure for an International Port, with an area of 10.000 m2, is composed mainly of commercial operations, engineering and custom offices, as well as training facilities for port personnel. The building functions as the "brain" of the port. The visual and physical connection to the working docks is a critical aspect of design functionality.
With its sculptural form, the administration building is the centerpiece and functional in the international port, welcoming the arrival ships in the new commercial port. A control tower at the top of the building allows for 360-degree monitoring of the port, while the circulation paths provide efficient access to the operating points for shore port personnel.
It was observed that the total construction area of the bay is 17 hectares. There is a berth 175 meters long and 12.5 meters wide, which is capable of receiving two ferries at a time. Located at an altitude of 4.25 meters, the bay can receive ferries regardless of changes in water levels. Two 79-meter railway moorings and a service bay of 809 meters were built here.
A parking lot with five railway lines, advanced navigation and communication systems, a motorway, a tunnel and other infrastructure and communications facilities. More than 2,000 people, most of them local, and 500 machines are involved in large-scale construction in the port.
In the first stage, 6 million cubic meters of disturbance of the earth and 300,000 cubic meters of concrete work were carried out, 1,874 piles of reinforced concrete were installed. The construction of the RO-RO dock, a dry cargo terminal and containers consisting of four docks, as well as a repair base, waiting rooms, warehouses, border and customs control points and other facilities continues.
It was noted that in the first stage, the port would be able to handle up to 10 million tons of cargo and 50,000 TEU containers. As part of the second phase, capacity will reach 17 million tons of cargo and 150,000 TEUs of containers. During the third stage, the port will manage the handling of 25 million tons of cargo and 1 million TEUs of containers. The creation of a logistics center is also of great importance. In the initial stage, the complex will handle containers of 100,000 TEUs and offer various services to cargo owners.
